From The Directors:
The District Rally was on Sept. 15-16 in Wisconsin Dells. Chapter C was Responsible for the Indoor Games on Friday afternoon. The games the district setup were a lot of fun to run and to watch. We had a good time at the district rally.
We finally had a good day for a Fall Color Ride. Thank you Todd & Christine Hellman for setting up & leading the ride.
Thank You to Linda & Leo Prentice for setting up the “Chapter C Out for Dinner” night on Oct. 28.
There was 33 members attending. It was a great time and the food was great also.
The WI District Fall Ops Meeting is Nov. 4 in Wisconsin Dells. It should be an interesting meeting with all the changes in GWRRA. We will bring that information back to inform the chapter.
The next Social Is on Nov. 12 Sunday at Golden Corral in Oshkosh. It is our planning meeting for 2018. We have received some E-mail with your suggestions of what to do in 2018 and what you like about what we doing with the chapter now.
Again there is still time, please send us your suggestions and likes & dislike.
This is your Chapter. All of you make Chapter C what it is. If things are not broke don’t fix it.
The next event to think about is Dec 2 Saturday Holiday Gathering Legion Hall in Fond du Lac.
More to come on this shortly.
Thanks and more to come next month.
Ride Smart & Be Safe!
Thank You, every one for the help and support.

Rider Education: Nov, 2017
Unfortunately, there were (2) two serious/fatal motorcycle vs. deer accidents here in Wisconsin a few weeks ago. The fall season is a great time for riding but please be extra cautious and aware of all those deer and little “bumpers’ are out there running in the morning and around dusk time. They jump out onto the highway and back in a matter of seconds; faster than you can blink. Try riding with your bright headlights on for better “lighted” vision along the roadsides. Early morning frost and fog is also showing up everywhere right now. Great time to consider laying back on the throttle for better control in case of skidding or sliding. Hey, it’s November, right!
When riding in colder weather conditions if both your body and your extremities aren’t kept warm you risk “shivering” and lower body temps, and this could lead to very hazardous reaction time in any emergency, braking, cornering, swerving, and overall handling, as well as your alertness and attentiveness. If you’re going to ride during the upcoming winter months make sure that your heated riding gear is in top shape, electrically functioning properly, and keeps you nice-n-snuggy warm ! Enjoy riding during the wintertime, but do it as SAFELY as possible. Have FUN and enjoy the fall colors before that nasty ‘ole white stuff comes around!
Please be careful and ride SAFE, and remember… ATGATT! Dress LOUD and BRIGHT!
