“Make it a habit to tell people thank you.  To express your appreciation,  sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return.  Truly appreciate those around you,  and you’ll soon find many others around you.  Truly appreciate life, and you’ll find that you have more of it.” ~ Ralph Marston

Thanksgiving is a good time to take stock of the positive things in your life for which you are thankful.  I know we should never wait to show our appreciation, but this is probably a good time to take stock of those things that mean a lot to you.  I know I will try and show my appreciation throughout the year and not just on Thanksgiving.  Here are just a few.........

Thank You

“Thank you” to each and every Member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.  You all make our Association what it is today.  A place to share a common interest in Gold Wings and other motorcycles.  Getting together for rides and the inevitable meal is something we all look forward to.

“Thank you” to every Chapter Team Member.  The dedication and support you give to the Members surpasses all.  You each channel the needs and wants of the Members into actions and activities that help keep the “fun” in mind in all that we do.

“Thank you” to the District Team Members.  Without your help and support, we could not supply the Knowledge and training needed to present the programs that make our Association a positive example of motorcyclist to the public at large.

“Thank you” to those that helped everyone at the Regional level.  This is where we learned from like-minded people from across several states.  It is where we learned that each had some of the same challenges as well as successes.  This is where we shared those activities that worked and just as important, those that did not.  This allowed us to “borrow” ideas and activities to add “fun” to all we do.  This sharing of ideas and fun will not stop, and we look forward to seeing all of our friends as often as possible!

“Thank you” to those mentors and advocates at the National level that helped to develop and support the various programs such as Riders Education, Motorist Awareness, Membership Enhancement, Medic First Aid, Leadership Training, and GWRRA University Programs.  They supply guidance and inspiration to the programs most of them have helped support in many roles.  These folks are Awesome!

“Thank you to those at “Home Office” that process our requests, send out the mailings, support the events we attend and Wing World magazine.  They help with making Wing Ding a big deal and a must-see activity to all.  Thanks for having a vision to try new things to grow and infuse excitement in our association.

“Thank you” to those that have helped us along the way.  Your support, ideas, ability to talk us into things we did not think we could do (dressing up, stepping up, acting up) and for showing us how to have “fun” doing those things.  These folks (and you know who you are!) continue and inspire us every day.

The biggest “Thank you” goes to my wife, Sharon.  Without her support, I could not do anything.  She puts up with my crazy ideas, quickly approaching deadlines, my missed deadlines, my inability to say “no” and with me in general.

“Thank you” all.  Collectively, you are our friends and our family.  You are the people we want to spend time with, share the road and perhaps a meal.  Let’s ride……
